My first book makes it to my hometown!
MWL Apr. 14, 2015
My apprentice Kelly and I were in Chicago from March 31st, through April 6th. It was great to see my hometown again. The weather was greeting us with clear blue skies, gorgeous 70-degree days, and the wind embraced us with its cool lakefront breeze. Seagulls visited us and partook of our crackers and bread as we enjoyed the company of my high school Colombian friend's first visit to Chicago.

We did various runs to my old stomping grounds, planting the seeds for doing future workshops and Aura Clearing sessions. We visited a couple of indie bookstores that will be carrying Life is Beautiful. And at Larry Garrett's first Sunday of the month meeting, at his well-known Garrett Hypnosis and Wellness Center, I presented a mini-workshop and gave 10-minute Ceremonial Aura Clearing Healing sessions.
In the mini-workshop, I covered in detail the metaphysical and esoteric exercises for the Zodiac sign of Aries. These exercises help heal our physical body and awaken and expand our clairvoyance.
I'd like to share with you a beautiful anecdote to give you an idea of some of the flavors and stories that commonly occur at my book signings. For each book that I autograph, I take the reader's hand and connect to whatever Spirit brings through. For one particular wonderful lady, the following occurred: A two-line sentence came through that I wrote in the book, then I took her hand again and I waited for the next message. My mind was blank. It was searching, then it went black... and then one word came through: "Precious." I waited for more, and then my mind went back to black again, and I heard... That's it. Just precious.
So I just wrote "Precious." And I returned the book to her.
When she looked at it, with joy in her face, she said, "This resonates completely. And this is my story: Today is the 15-year anniversary of my father's death. He died on Easter, and it happens to be Easter today. On his tombstone, he has three words..." To the best of my recollection, the first word had to do about his being a fire chief; I do not recall the second wor, and the third word on his tombstone was... you guessed it. "Precious." She explained that her mother would always speak of her husband and say, "He is precious."
What a beautiful connection and story! I am continuously in awe of the wonderful synchronicity and information that emerges at my book signings when I connect with my readers. These moments bring both the reader and myself to glorious highs. The mini-workshop, the Aura Clearings, and the book signing were a success in my heart.
Now, let's talk about scrumptious meals! The quinoa roasted vegetable dish at m.henry on Clark Street was a new surprise to savor. One of my favorite spots is Kuni's, a cozy Japanese restaurant in Evanston. Not only did we visit it once with my Colombian friend and her family, but on our second visit, I reunited with five other grade-school classmates whom I had not seen in over 43 years. Let me tell you, I was definitely practicing "the Here and the Now" exercise during this time, to live every moment with full awareness, so that every breath would contemplate the beauty of this reunion.
We took my friend to see the Baha'i Temple in Wilmette. Its architecture is stunning, and its grounds are beautifully landscaped. The Baha'i Faith is about the Oneness of God, Oneness of religion, and Oneness of humanity; the earth is but one country and mankind its citizens. If you're ever in Chicago, definitely a place to visit. Here are Kelly and I in front of the Baha'i Temple and its guardian tree:

Thank you Andrea and Michael for hosting Kelly and me at your wonderful and loving home!
